Mi nombre es Marlises Merida Lozada . Soy de Caracas Venezuela.

Estoy recaudando fondos para mi mamá Marlene Lozada. Mi mamá sufre de una enfermedad hereditaria de riñones poliquisticos, como consecuencia de esta, sus riñones se detuvieron en el 2006 por lo cual tuvo que recibir el tratamiento de diálisis, después de dos años en espera fue transplanta de un riñón de cadaver, luego de pasar el primer año de adaptación pudo llevar una vida normal, saludable y feliz durante estos 11 años, desde el mes de julio comenzó a presentar variaciones en los niveles de la creatinina ( nivel que indica la funcionalidad del riñón) desde entonces estuvo en tratamiento, en el cual se realizaron ajustes de dosis y se cambiaron medicamentos, para la fecha de octubre sin mejoras, comienzan los efectos secundarios, teniendo diarrea y gastritis por 15 días, simultáneo a esto comienza un dolor en la zona izquierda del pecho, que se asociaba a las pastillas, luego de un deterioro notable, es llevabada a emergencia en donde nos comunican que mi mamá tiene una neumonía con derrame pleural y estamos en presencia de una sepsis, rápidamente fue atendida. Por lo cual nos enfrentamos a una infección muy grave y de alto riesgo sumado a la condición del transplante y de paciente inmunosuprimido lo que vuelve más complejo el tratamiento. Con ayuda de muchas personas conseguimos parte de los antibióticos necesarios. Han sido muchos los medicamentos, pruebas y exámenes a realizar, que por separados no parecen mucho, pero en total suman una gran cantidad de dinero. La primera meta es súperar la infección, luego salvar su riñón que puede requerir desde la realización de biopsias hasta volver al tratamiento de diálisis que tiene un alto costo. Estamos solo en el principio de un largo camino para mi mamá,

Mucha de las personas que lean esto quizás no conozcan a mi mamá, pero es de esas personas que siempre le ven el lado positivo a la vida, siempre está feliz y llena de amor. Es de esos seres que parecen un rayito de sol en la tierra. Por eso tengo mucha fe y se que su ayuda que puede ser desde difundir este mensaje o con cualquier colaboración vamos a poder superar esta etapa con éxito, volviendo a tener salud y una vida normal.

Hello,

My name is Marlises Merida Lozada. I'm from Caracas, Venezuela.

I am raising funds for my mother Marlene Lozada. My mother suffers from an inherited poly-cystic kidney disease, as a result of this, her kidneys stopped in 2006, so she had to be treated with dialysis, after two years of waiting she was transplanted from a corpse kidney, then after spending the first year of adaptation, she was able to have a normal, healthy and happy life during these 11 years. Since July she began to show variations in creatinine levels (level that indicates kidney functionality); Since the she had been under treatment, in which dose adjustments were made and medications were changed. For the October date without improvements, the side effects begin, having diarrhea and gastritis for 15 days, simultaneous to this begins a pain in the left chest area, which was associated to the pills. After a notable deterioration,  she is taken to emergency where they tell us that my mother has pneumonia with pleural effusion and we are in the presence of a septicemia infections, which we started treating quickly. Therefore, we face an infection with a high level of severity and risk, coupled with a possible rejection of the transplanted kidney.

With the help of many people we got part of the necessary antibiotics. We have gone through several types of medication, exams and test, which separately do not seem like much, but they add up to a large amount. The first goal is to overcome the infection, then save my mom's kidney that may require biopsies and returning to dialysis, which is very costly. We are only at the beginning of a long road for my mother, but I know that with a lot of faith and help we will be able to successfully get my mother home to many more years of health.

To all this, I want to add a bit of context about who my mother is, those who know her, are aware that she is a person full of energy, who transmits joy and peace to everyone around her, she is a very bright and positive being before all. I thank everyone for their help, sharing or donating, for putting their grain of sand to help my family overcome this situation.
