As most of you know, Brandon has been suffering from severe back pain, to the point he has been out of work for 4 months and finds simple tasks around the house extremely difficult. He spends most days in bed because it is the only place he can find some comfort, although there are times the pain is too much no matter what position he is in. His quality of life has diminished immensely. The "slightly better than outstanding" optimist we know and cherish isn't there as much anymore, and anyone who knows my husband can understand how heartbreaking that is. For the past couple of months, Brandon has been working hard with multiple PT and OT therapists who come to the house and help him build towards his goals. Brandon would love to get back to work. He misses the atmosphere, he misses his co-workers and most of all, he misses helping the people in his community. With working with the therapists, Brandon has been given an opportunity to help get to that goal. There is a mobile chair that is specifically made for injuries/conditions like this and can be tweaked into his own needs, for right now and going forward. Insurance will pay for some of the chair but we will need to cover the rest. If you are able to help us work towards this goal, we want you to know how much we love and appreciate you and your help.
