Help Henry walk again!

Our beloved Celeste needs your help! Henri has been her loving companion since he was a puppy, bringing happiness to all who meet him. Celeste is one of the most caring people I have ever met, she has helped many people and now it’s her turn to ask her community to band together and Help Henri Walk Again!

 

Henry and Celeste go on long walks every day, it’s one of Henri’s favorite things to do!

On the afternoon of Monday June 13th, they went to the park, and she thought he stepped on a bee Bc he started screaming and then walking funny, swaying his back hips. She took him to the ER, waited for 4 hours and they said it’s a herniated disc, and he needs strict bed rest and medication, and it could get better on its own.

On the morning of Friday the 17th, his back legs were totally paralyzed and he couldn’t go potty. She waited a couple hours to see if he’d improve. Then finally took him back to the ER, they saw Him immediately and recommended emergency back surgery. If they didn’t do surgery, Henri could have stayed paralyzed forever and it probably would have gotten worse/spread to his front legs.

They rushed to the other vet, and they took him in that night.

They kept him for 3 nights.

she picked him on Monday and he’s been on strict crate rest and medication since. He’s slowly getting stronger and can go potty on his own now! He starting his at home physical therapy this week.

Full recovery could take 3 months!

 

Henri is in good hands but the expense of this is hard to comprehend. Celeste just started an online thrift store business and is kicking butt, however the business is new and not fully profitable and with a huge vet bill it could take years to recover.
