My name is Sandy Thistle and I’m I’m raising money for my
Daughter, Sara Brown (who is 32) who has been affected by an
antibiotic called “Ciprofloxacin.”

She has 2 kids who are 14 & 11
and She was prescribed this
antibiotic by her doctors in May
2020 who had been trying to
treat(what they thought was a     bladder infection).

On the 11th day of her 14 day
prescription of ciprofloxacin she
experienced what is called Cipro toxicity. My daughter went to the ER and her doctors several times but no doctor knew how to help
her or what was wrong. Her one
doctor tried telling her it was all
in her head Her symptoms
started with buzzing and tingling in her body, then brain pressure and difficulty
concentrating then severe
fatigue, muscle weakness and
tendon pain. Her symptoms got
so bad it hurt to walk and she
couldn’t sleep at night. My
daughter lost almost 20lbs in 2
weeks, she couldn’t do things she once use to be able to do like
open a water bottle or go for a
walk around the block. My
daughter is in pain everyday she
has constant tingling and burning in her arms and hands. Her back,
shoulders, elbows, hands, knees
and feet are always in pain. Her mbody is sore and tired.

The doctors have ruled out most  things that could be causing this
kind of pain, leaving the antibiotic as the only reasonable cause.

My daughter tried everything she could to desperately get back to
the way she use to feel before all of this happened. She changed
her diet and took out anything
that could be hurting her from
healing
including coffee, sugar and gluten, she goes to physiotherapy and
she sees a naturopath at least once a week who (witch is very
expensive) is trying to help her
reduce the pain through
acupuncture.

Despite all of this my daughter
still struggles with side effects
everyday, she has been off of
work for 2 months now. My
daughter has a team of doctors
who can’t figure out how to help her, and tell her that these side
effects are very rare. She has
seen a neurologist recently who          confirmed that she has nerve
damage in her hands from the
ciprofloxacin. They will be
running more tests but despite      the outcome we are learning that there is little doctors know about how to treat someone who has    Ciprofloxacin toxicity.

My daughter has done a lot of
research on this antibiotic and
how it destroys your body. While doing her research my mum
came across Dr. Ghalili who
specializes in helping people to heal from this toxicity. He uses

to us, in fact he is all the way in
L.A. while we’re in Ontario and
getting treatment from him will
be very expensive... more than my daughter can afford. My
daughter had a consult with them and the price for IV therapy plus
stem cell treatment would be              $19,000.00 USD. They said she
would need to stay at least 10
days for therapy and any
additional days in treatment
would be another $2000.00 USD.

My daughter would do anything
for her kids but it’s hard to even walk for her so I’ve decided to
start a go fund me page for her so she can get the help that she
deserves since we can’t afford to travel to LA or do the treatments. If we can get my daughter this       treatment she will have the best
chance of healing from this. I
don’t want to see  my daughter in pain anymore and I’m sure her
kids don’t either. Me and her kids keep telling her everyday that it will be okay because I believe
that it will be and I know she is
strong.
