SHOOTING FOR A CAUSE!
This years La Crescent Girls Basketball Shooting for a Cause night will be an extra special one. An alumni basketball player has been showing what strength truly means throughout the past several months.
Liz Kohlmeier was diagnosed with breast cancer on June 5th, just days after finding out that she was pregnant.
Due to an allergic reaction to the chemo, Liz stopped receiving it halfway through treatment; however, her doctor has told her that it has been doing its job so far!
Baby Girl is not due until February, but Liz is being induced today, December 27th, and baby will be going right to the NICU. She has her daddy, and two proud brothers waiting for her, and we are hopeful she will have her mother's strength, but the extra thoughts and prayers are appreciated!
