Update as of November 2016: Given the state of healthcare and the uncertainty of costs in 2017, I wanted to bump the goal up for Lisa. With expensive medications averaging $300 every month, in addition to provider visits, and limited medical resources, she needs all the kindness and help you could provide.

Our fellow KinjaTwitterer, Lisa (@bubble_letters), is going through a really sh*tty time in her life right now, primarily with health concerns that have been ongoing for quite some time.

There are difficulties she's having that I (@eboldy) can somewhat relate to, and I know how far a little kindness can go when life steps on your face and decides to break your nose. Repeatedly. I understand the reservations of donating your personal money to a relative stranger, and I don't want anyone to feel as if I'm putting on pressure - this was solely my idea, and I wanted to see if anyone other than myself would be interested in helping Lis out.

Every cent raised here will go straight to Lisa so she can take care of herself: bills, medical help, personal necessities, gas, the things needed to keep her on her feet for awhile. 

Regardless of whether you're able to donate, even just a comment of support can mean the world. I thank you greatly for even reading this, and I know that whatever is raised, Lisa is already speechless at your kindness.
