Hello friends. My name is Max and this handsome little guy is Kento/Kenny. Since my partner Duncan and I welcomed him into our home in May 2025 we have noticed him to have some mysterious but mild digestive issues that our vet couldn't diagnose, but he seemed otherwise pretty healthy and they weren't too concerned. That changed when on the night of March 15th he vomited and showed little interest in his dinner, every single morning he wakes me up early to feed him breakfast but that next morning he was nowhere to be seen and I immediately knew something was wrong. I found him curled up on his chair, lethargic, barely even lifting his head to greet me. I brought his food to him but he wouldn't take a single bite. He got up to use the litter box and strained but only a clear mucus came out. We rushed him to Emergency care at Central Victoria Animal Hospital where he was diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), pancreatitis and colitis. The total estimate of the long term treatment, ultrasounds, biopsies and his extended hospital stay has come close to $10,000. Once he comes home to us he will need to be on strong antibiotics and steroids for 3-4 months, he is only 2 years old and has already been through so much in his life. We are absolutely not ready to say goodbye to him, he completes our little family and the house is not the same without him in it, he is so special and cherished. His big kitty sister Binx has been searching for him and crying. I'm asking for $4000 to help cover a portion of his vet bills and get him back to his goofy self. Every dollar helps, and is appreciated. Thank you.
