In late February of this year, my husband went to the doctor for severe pain, he thought to be kidney stones. But after a full day of scans, tests, and many doctor appointments, we were told the pain was actually the result of a mass they found.
A few weeks later, he was diagnosed with Stage Two Testicular Cancer that had spread to his lymph nodes. His first surgery was done at a local hospital the last week of February, then he was out of work for one week.
In June, he will hospitalized in Tampa for 5/6 days, and on short term disability for about six weeks. This is about a two hour commute for us, and we would like to keep our girls close by. With no other accommodations available, we’ll have to get a hotel room which will cost us about $1,500.
In addition to the above, we owe over $5,500 in out of pocket medical bills, and my husband will be out for short term disability for about a six weeks.
We are grateful for everyone that has reached out to us so far, and the continued prayers that have been lifted up. Thank you so much, we are so blessed to have all of you in our life.
