Luna’s Leg Surgery

Hello!! Luna, her mom Quincy and dad AJ here. We are fundraising to cover Luna’s Arthrodesis Surgery happening on 11/7.

About a month ago, Luna and AJ went on a hike (her favorite thing to do) and she slipped off the bank of the trail.. She feel down about a 6 foot drop onto a creek bed. Luna wasn’t putting any weight on her right paw so AJ carried her to the car.

We took her to the vet that day. Our vet wanted to wait for the swelling to go down to see what was going on.. When we took her back a couple days later, they put her in a splint & until today, 10/31, she has been in and out of a splint for a month. We have been going to the vet a least once a week, but today we finally got an answer with a scheduled date for surgery.

Luna will be going through Arthrodesis Surgery, which is a surgical fusion of a joint by a bone graft. This will be a 8-12 week recovery with many more vet visits in our future.

We have been looking at different options to pay the surgery since she does not have pet insurance, raising the money for the surgery alone would truly help SO much!!!
