My daughter, Sydney, has had a heart for Jesus for as long as I can remember. For her 10th birthday, all she wanted was to get baptized... and she did. It has been amazing watching her grow in faith. Not only does she have a heart for the kingdom, she has a heart to serve. This summer, she has the opportunity to go on a mission trip, with our church, to Haiti. Because she's a minor, I have to accompany her (and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way)! It will be a blessing for us both. I can't wait to see how God is going to use us... what he is going to do to us and through us.
Along with our church, we will be “loving on” the city of Port-au-Prince and reaching people in nearby tent cities with food and medical care. At New Life Children’s Home, we get to care for 120 children rescued from crisis situations, including 25 with special needs. We will also share the Gospel using Bible school programs and pastor trainings.
The trip itself is $1250 per person. I am trying to raise enough for half the total cost. If you would help us in any way, we would be so honored. If you can't help financially, please help by praying for us... for our health, our safety, an open heart, and the stregnth to do what God has called us to do. Thank you in advance for your support. The trip is in July of this year and we can't wait!
