Support Jackie in Her Time of Need

A dear friend of mine, Jackie Y. is going through a tough time currently. This type of difficult situation is truly testing what it means for her to persevere.

On May 9th her apartment caught on fire, losing everything including her beloved cat of 14 years.

Jackie is known around the community for being a friendly, caring, loving, helpful, and bubbly person. If ever there is a way she could give back or help she is always first in line dedicating her time.

Jackie receive a phone call this Friday informing her that the apartment, she left 30 mins prior, is on fire. She dropped everything and ran home to see the fire department breaking through her front windows to fight the flames. Jackie was worried most about the well being of her neighbors and her animals.

She informed the firemen about her pets. Sadie, her 8.5 month old dog sprinted past her from the flames, and was safely returned. Her cat of 14 years, Rafe, wasn’t so lucky. Rafe didn’t emerge from the fire, and will be sorely missed.

Most all of Jackie’s possessions were lost in the fire. Unfortunately, there was a gap in her rental insurance. Meaning everything is truly lost.

If there is anything anyone can spare to help Jackie rebuild her life in this difficult time, it is truly appreciated.
