We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts but unwavering hope as we rally around our beloved Emily Reedstrom—a devoted wife, incredible mother, talented wedding photographer, and an all-around force of nature. At just 36 years old, Emi has been diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, which has spread to her spine, lungs, and lymph nodes.

Her journey began just months ago when she gave birth to her beautiful son, Boden, in October 2024. Like many new moms, she pushed through the exhaustion, the aches, and the nausea, assuming they were part of postpartum recovery. But as weeks passed, her back pain grew unbearable, and numbness spread through her leg. What started as a routine check-up quickly spiraled into an unimaginable reality: Emi has cancer.

She and her husband, Torin—a dedicated Army pilot—are now facing the fight of their lives while raising their two young sons, five-year-old Beckett and three-month-old Boden. Emi has already begun an intense treatment plan, including spinal surgery, targeted radiation, and immunotherapy, all while battling excruciating pain.

For anyone who knows Emi, you know that she is a warrior in every sense of the word. She has conquered an Ironman, built a thriving career capturing life’s most beautiful moments as a wedding photographer, and fills every room with laughter, love, and a sharp wit that hasn’t wavered, even in the face of cancer. She is surrounded by love—her boys, her husband, her family and friends, and of course, her loyal pups, Zeus and Apollo—but even warriors need reinforcements.
