Dear Friends and Supporters,
I want to share the extraordinary story of Beth Wiggins — a woman whose strength, heart, and determination are redefining what it means to overcome.
Beth is a former U.S. Marine and professional softball player who lived life at full speed until a tragic accident nearly claimed her life. Though she miraculously survived, she lost both of her legs in the process. But if you know Beth, you know that giving up was never an option.
Since that day, she has faced every challenge with the same grit and courage that carried her through her service and her athletic career. Now, she’s taking on a new mission — one that embodies both her warrior spirit and her passion for inspiring others.
This year, Beth has been selected to climb Mount Kilimanjaro — Africa’s highest peak — as part of the Merging Veterans & Players (MVP) program. This incredible climb will feature an all-women team made up of veterans and former professional athletes, united by the shared goal of proving that strength, resilience, and sisterhood can overcome any mountain.
The MVP program brings together combat veterans and professional athletes to help them rediscover purpose, identity, and community after their careers of service and competition. This climb isn’t just a physical challenge — it’s a journey of healing, empowerment, and unity.
For Beth, this climb represents more than reaching a summit. It’s a powerful symbol of perseverance — a statement to every woman, veteran, and survivor that even after life’s most difficult battles, we can still rise higher.
To make this life-changing mission possible, Beth needs to raise $9,000 to cover travel, adaptive gear, and expedition costs. Every donation, no matter the size, helps her get one step closer to the top — and helps her continue to inspire others through her courage and determination.
