Put quality instruments in students’ hands

Music changes lives, but only if a child has access to a real instrument.

I started an instrument loan foundation because I saw too many bright, passionate students struggling on instruments that held them back. My very first loan was to a student playing on what could barely be called a violin. It had a plastic fingerboard and was impossible to play in tune. I loaned her a proper violin, and she kept it for three years until her mom was finally able to save up for one of her own. That violin carried her through high school, opening doors that would have otherwise been closed.

Since then I have personally purchased 13 instruments with my own money, violins, violas, and cellos that are now in the hands of K–12 students whose families either could not afford to rent an instrument or who needed something better than the low quality beginner options available. The smiles, confidence, and growth I have seen in these young musicians remind me every day why this work matters.

But here is the truth. I cannot keep doing this alone. Quality instruments cost money, and the need is greater than what I can provide by myself. That is where I need your help.
