Put a Smile Back on Uncle Daniel's Face

This is our Uncle Daniel. He’s an amazing cook, a hilarious comedian, our dad’s best friend, and also, a recovered drug addict. 

In a story unfortunately familiar to many American families, Daniel fell victim to a habit that robbed him of everything -- his job, his house, and also unfortunately, his teeth.

Thanks to the support of his family and his ongoing relationship with Christ, much of the former has been restored. The latter, however, remains the greatest obstacle to Daniel completely moving forward with healing.

Because Medicare doesn't cover dental procedures, Daniel has been trying to come up with a way to pay for dentures and extensive oral surgery out of pocket, but every day he waits is another day his teeth deteriorate even more. 

New teeth may seem like a cosmetic concern, but for our uncle,  they would mean so much more.

Not only are his teeth a source of emotional and psychological pain, they prevent him from getting any sort of stable employment -- trapping Daniel in a vicious cycle of low income.

The situation also poses serious threats to his health. According to the American Dental Association, tooth decay can cause sepsis, a potentially fatal disease created by bacteria in the bloodstream.
