The Puslinch Kodiaks are preparing to take a major step onto the world stage of men’s fastball in 2026, and they’re inviting the community to be part of the journey.
The Kodiaks, a team proudly built around local talent from the Puslinch area, are set to compete in the International Softball Congress (ISC) circuit this season—widely regarded as the highest level of men’s fastball in the world. Featuring elite teams and players from across the globe, the ISC represents the pinnacle of the sport, and the Kodiaks are eager to prove they belong among the best.
This marks the team’s return to the ISC stage for the first time since 2018, when they competed in Kitchener. Now, with a renewed roster and strong local foundation, the Kodiaks have their sights set on qualifying for the ISC World Tournament this August in Melbourne, Ontario.
To get there, the team will compete in a series of key tournaments throughout the early summer:
• Innerkip (May 15–17)
• Fisherville (June 5–7)
• ISC Qualifier in Mitchell (June 19–21)
A strong showing at the qualifier in Mitchell will earn the Kodiaks a coveted spot at the ISC World Tournament, scheduled for August 8–15.
What makes this team especially unique is its commitment to local talent. The roster is composed primarily of players from Puslinch and surrounding communities—athletes who have grown up playing the game together and now have the opportunity to represent their hometown on an international stage.
As the team prepares for a demanding and competitive season, they are reaching out to the community for support. Fundraising efforts are now underway to help cover the costs associated with tournament entry fees, travel, and overall team operations.
Community support—whether through sponsorship, donations, or simply spreading the word—will play a vital role in helping the Kodiaks chase their goal of competing with the world’s best.
“This is a great opportunity not just for our players, but for the entire Puslinch community,” says Player-Coach David Jefferson. “We’re proud to represent where we come from, and we’re hoping the community will rally behind us as we take on this challenge.”
Those interested in supporting the team further via sponsorship opportunities are encouraged to reach out to the Puslinch Kodiaks through their social media channels or by contacting team representatives directly.
With determination, local pride, and community backing, the Kodiaks are ready to make their mark in 2026.
