Push for "PAPER PLATES" Post-Production!

(A little snippet from the movie. I'm still working on the rough cut, mind, so it still needs some post-mix sweetening, but it is very close to what I'm wanting in the final cut. It's a pretty good indicator of what the final movie will be.)

Hello, my name is Brian Nguyen. You don't know me, but I recently embarked on accomplishing one of my life-goals of making a movie of my own. The premise is simple: four idiot thieves botch a would-be series of bank heists across rural America and get stuck in the first bank they failed robbing for a day.

I raised roughly 65k on my own over the span of 4-5 years; scrimping and scheming, saving up all I had and blowing it all on this endeavor (maxing out my credit line, as well). What ensued was a grueling 11 day shoot schedule for a feature length film, shot in two of the hottest weeks of August, all on location with the friendly participation of the denizens of Viola, Illinois, where a crew of five people and 18 cast members suffered in humid and intensely hot conditions under the bumbling direction of a passionate movie-lover (me). Everyone was spread thin, tensions arose, and production was rocky from start to finish, where anything that could go wrong did, and then some more.

But we got it done in the end, and with some incredible performances to boot, all in thanks to the eagerness and friendliness of everyone involved both directly and indirectly.

The final push for the latter part of the shooting drained everyone of all they had physically and mentally, but we shot all the footage that needed to be shot, and everyone involved gave their all to make it happen and I couldn't be more grateful for them for making it happen. It also sapped all of my remaining budget for anything else for that final race towards the end.

While I hate to busk for more money, I'm at that point where I need to in order to finish this movie. I don't want to squander all the time and effort; the blood, sweat, and tears that people poured into this for it to dissolve into obscurity. I can't let them down like that. I won't let them down like that.

This money is mostly going towards licensing one individual song and festival submission fees. That's it. If there is an excess of funds, that will go towards post-mixing and more festival submissions. I'm already supplementing everything else, so anything given will be greatly appreciated.
