Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich wende mich heute mit schwerem Herzen, aber auch mit einer kleinen Portion Hoffnung an euch. Wer mich kennt, weiß, dass ich normalerweise diejenige bin, die sofort hilft – egal ob mit Rat, Tat oder einer kleinen Spende. Doch heute bin ich es, die Hilfe für jemanden benötigt, die mir alles bedeutet: Meine Katze Pusa.

Wer ist Pusa?

Pusa kam 2020 als Rescue-Katze aus dem Tierschutz campina in Rumänien zu mir nach Berlin. Sie ist winzig, ein absoluter „Drops“ und hat ein Herz aus Gold. In mindestens einer Tierarztpraxis steht in ihrer offiziellen Akte ein Vermerk, der die Tierarzhelfer:innen bei jedem Besuch zum Schmunzeln bringt: „SEHR SÜẞ“.

Pusa liebt alle Menschen. Alles, was sie zum Glücklichsein braucht, ist ein Schoß zum Kuscheln und ganz viel Liebe. Sie ist erst 7 Jahre jung – in Menschenjahren wäre sie gerade mal Anfang 20. Sie hat eigentlich noch ihr halbes Leben vor sich.

Die Diagnose und der Kampf:

Nachdem sie erst im November tapfer eine schwere Zahn-OP (FORL) weggesteckt hat, kam nun der Schock: Ein bösartiger Mammatumor. Die Wahl war grausam: Entweder die komplette Entfernung der Milchleisten oder der sichere Tod innerhalb von kürzester Zeit, da dieser Tumor sehr aggressiv ist und wahnsinnig schnell streuen kann.

Als liebende Katzenmama gab es für mich keine Sekunde des Zögerns: Pusa soll leben.

Warum ich Hilfe brauche:

Trotz einer Vollversicherung stehe ich nun vor einem finanziellen Berg, den ich alleine nicht mehr bewältigen kann:

Die Versicherung greift nur teilweise: Da mein Versicherungsjahr ungünstig läuft, übernimmt die Kasse nur ca. 1.500 €.

Komplikationen: Die OP war geplant, doch Pusa kann aufgrund von Komplikationen nicht nach Hause. Jeder Tag in der Klinik kostet aktuell 600 € bis 650 €, zusätzlich zu den Medikamenten und Infusionen, die sie braucht.

Die Gesamtkosten: Ursprünglich auf 2.500 € geschätzt, steuern wir nun rasant auf die 5.000 € Marke zu – Tendenz steigend.

Ich habe alles zusammengekratzt, was ich habe, und Freunde haben mir bereits geholfen, aber meine Reserven sind restlos erschöpft.

Jeder Cent zählt

Ich bitte euch von Herzen: Helft mir, Pusa diese lebensnotwendige Behandlung zu ermöglichen. Jeder Euro hilft, die Klinikrechnungen zu begleichen und Pusa den Weg zurück in ein schmerzfreies und hoffentlich noch langes Leben zu ebnen.

Sollte am Ende mehr Geld zusammenkommen, als für Pusas Behandlung nötig ist, werde ich den Restbetrag eins zu eins an Tierschutzprojekte schicken. Gerne dürft ihr mir eure bevorzugten Projekte mitteilen, wenn nicht geht es an listiversum, ein Gnadenhof Projekt vor allem für Listenhunde, bei dem ich bereits eine Patenschaft für ein Tier übernommen habe und das ich aus vollsten Herzen unterstütze.

Hello everyone,

I am reaching out today with a heavy heart, but also with a glimmer of hope. Those who know me know that I am usually the first to help—whether with advice, a helping hand, or a small donation. But today, I am the one who needs help for someone who means the world to me: my cat, Pusa.

Who is Pusa?

Pusa came to me in Berlin in 2020 as a rescue cat from Campina, Romania. She is tiny, a total "sweetheart," and has a heart of gold. In at least one veterinary clinic, her official file contains a note that makes the staff smile every time they see it: "VERY SWEET."

Pusa loves people more than anything. All she needs to be happy is a lap to cuddle in and plenty of love. She is only 7 years old—in human years, she’d be in her early 20s. She should have half her life still ahead of her.

The Diagnosis and the Fight

After bravely recovering from major dental surgery (FORL) just last November, we were hit with a shock: a malignant mammary tumor. The choice was agonizing: either undergo a full mastectomy (removal of the mammary chains) or face certain death within a very short time, as this type of tumor is extremely aggressive and spreads rapidly.

As a devoted cat mom, there wasn’t a second of hesitation: Pusa deserves to live.

Why I Need Your Help

Despite having full pet insurance, I am now facing a financial mountain that I simply cannot climb alone:

Limited Insurance Coverage: Because of how her insurance year is structured, the provider will only cover about €1,500 of the total cost.

Complications: The surgery was planned, but Pusa cannot come home yet due to complications. Every additional day in the clinic costs between €600 and €650, plus the costs for necessary medications and IV fluids.

The Total Costs: Originally estimated at €2,500, we are now rapidly approaching the €5,000 mark—and the numbers are still rising.

I have scraped together everything I have, and friends have already stepped in to help, but my reserves are completely exhausted.

Every Cent Counts

I am asking from the bottom of my heart: Please help me make this life-saving treatment possible for Pusa. Every Euro helps pay the clinic bills and paves the way for Pusa to return to a pain-free and hopefully long life.

If more money is raised than is needed for Pusa's treatment, I will donate every remaining cent to animal welfare projects. I am happy to take suggestions for your favorite projects; otherwise, the funds will go to Listiversum, a sanctuary project (primarily for "listed" dog breeds) where I already sponsor an animal and which I support with all my heart.
