Amanda’s Cancer Journey

Update: Another chapter of my cancer journey continues after a relapse in May, start of a new chemo regiment and now an upcoming Stem Cell Transplant in September. This journey has caused some financial stress with continued need for higher amounts of supplements, alternative therapies, lots of extra driving (gas), and so many other little things. So many have asked how to help and of course prayer continues to be our biggest need but the financial part continues to be a stretching faith exercise. If you feel led to give we would be so blessed by that. Thank you all so much for your continued generosity, prayer and encouragement

(Update: After a scan in Dec 2022 that

still showed cancer We are headed into our second phase of treatments at the Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine California where I will be receiving fractionated chemo, repurposed drugs, high dosing supplementation, and other immune boosting and healing therapies. All this will be under a great team of doctors who turned over every stone to attempt to find root cause and best form of treatment. The first five weeks Carlos and the kids will be living out there with me so we can be together. Thank you again for partnering with us in this way )

Hey we are the Vargas Crew! Carlos, Amanda, Elianna, Julian, Malachi, and Mateo. We currently serve as full time missionaries with YWAM Lancaster (Youth With A Mission) where we train and send young adults to fulfill the great commission both here and all over the world. We raise our own financial partnership to do this as a full time job and God has been so faithful to always provide. However we are in a new season where I(Amanda) was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 2 and we felt God calling us to pursue alternative treatment at a state of the art facility in Mexico. I will also be seeing an integrative doctor here in the united states for long term health.

In order to do this we will need to raise additonal funds to help cover traveling expenses, supplements, diet changes, chiropractic care, and other alternative therapies. We know God will provide and are grateful that so often he provides through people just like yourself. We know I will get healed, its just a matter of when! We are trusting God will continue to lead and guide us all along the way.
