Purse-Impressions

I wanted to share with you news of our new Nonprofit Organization, Purse-Impressions.  Our Missions is simple yet powerful; "To gift graduates from rehab with a purse or backpack that celebrates their accomplishments, allowing them to move forward with dignity, strength and the knowledge that someone cares"

How it all started: Courtney, my daughter, had been in and out of Rehab many times. Yet, suddenly and tragically passed away, at the age of 28 this past June, from complications due to her alcoholism.  Before her death when she thought she had beat her addiction, Courtney imagined a way to give back to the Rehab community that had come to her aid.

She told her me that upon graduation from Rehab the women, (and men) are given plastic bags in which to pack their personal items as they leave. Plastic bags not being a fitting introduction to a new life, Courtney imagined gifting graduates with “fresh start purses”. Allowing them to make a good first Impression! A good first impression to the outside world, but, more importantly, a new, good first impression of themselves.

As tragic and devastating as it was to me, I have been able to turn my grief into something that  honors my daughter and help inspire  others who are fighting the battle of addiction.

In just 5 short months Purse-Impressions has made its own first impression by donating just under 800 purses and backpacks to 7 rehab centers in AZ, CO, FL and Canada

We are re-starting our Go Fund Me page , because we are growing so rapidly, I no longer have space to operate efficiently from my spare bedroom. We need a head office so we can hold, inventory and prepare are purses properly for donations.

This isn't even to mention storing the number of essentials we buy or have donated to stuff the purses and backpacks.  At 850 bags filled in 2019 we literally had thousands of individual items to package to fill our donations.

We desperately need your donation which will go directly toward securing an office for the next year.
( Where we hope to have access to grants or corporate sponsorship to sustain a lease after the first year.)

Any amount helps even $10.00,  it will all add up. We have had numerous requests of volunteers wanting to run a chapter and support their local rehabs. We need space to meet the needs of our growing business

Helping others feel loved and giving them a message of hope from my daughter, not only helps my grieving, but aids the individuals fighting addictions.
