THE MAN AND THE PURPLE DOOR BY AMOS HERNANDEZ
For my senior thesis project at Webster University , I am directing a short film titled "The Man and the Purple Door”. I choose to tell this story as my final school project because of the message I hope to illustrate.
The film tells the story of Charlie, who finds a mysterious door and walks through it, changing his life forever.
THEME
At it's core this story deals with the theme of escapism. The door in the film symbolizes the screens we stare at everyday and how they act as windows to many other people's lives.
Production has started on this project, but in order to complete it, we need your help. The money we raise will be used for things like location releases, transportation, submissions to film festivals, and food for our talent and crew.
