Our short film is about Liam (a young man, 17) and his journey through agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is a byproduct of anxiety and can lead to someone being mentally trapped within their house. Liam has suffered childhood trauma in relation to his absent father. With the aid of his Nan, Liam begins the process of overcoming his anxiety. Liam was a well-achieving swimmer before the agoraphobia began, and during the short film, we cut to a place in his memories, a beach where he and his father used to swim. At the end of the film, Liam leaves his house and travels to this beach.
