Pure Mutts Sanctuary serves as a
-Hospice for older animals that have been abondoned by their families at their old age either because they are sick or because family wants a new model.
-Long term foster home for really sick and injured animals that need a place for long term recovery. Animals abused by humans or abondoned animals injured in accidents.
-Forever home for special need animals like deaf, blind, diabetic, 3 legged or any other special needs
-Vacation home for healthy animals who stop by before they find their forever home. Usually stray who lived most of their life on streets or abondoned and lost animals who can't find their way back home because they don't have tags or are not chipped.
Our Patience, Care, and Compassion and their will to live, love and be loved makes this Sanctuary a special place.
These animals have special needs, medical needs, healthcare issues and require long term care and a lot of resources. These are all animals that come from the shelters around our community.
The local shelters do not have resources or time to take care of these special need dogs who need a lot more than a regular dog and would not be easily adopted.
Usually in these cases euthanasia is the only option. By sending them to us the shelters give them another chance and prevent their having to be euthanized.
While we hope for and seek forever homes for these specials needs dogs we guarantee that they will have a safe, secure, loving home, and care for the rest of their lives.
Care for them do not come easy. Our wonderful vets give us a discounts but still to take care of these special need animals we require around $40,000 to 50,000/yr in medical bills and food alone.
Please help us in continuing care for these animals.
