Pure Intentions...uniting single Muslims!

Hey! We're Layla and Fatema, founders of Pure Intentions! We have been working on a project (whilst working in our full time jobs) of bringing together single Muslims looking to get married! This was inspired after experiencing first hand how difficult it is to meet suitable matches despite living in the peak of a swiping culture!

We have been to our fair share of matrimonial events between us and realised that really understanding what individuals were looking for was not being followed through. We decided to put together a NON-PROFIT service which includes completing a form which asks the fundamental questions around intellect, self awareness, emotional intelligence and religiosity, to match individuals together.

The reason Pure Intentions is a NON-PROFIT service is because we have decided to set up Pure Intentions Matchmaking to act as sadqah and lilah to Allah, meaning that any money donated will not go into the pockets of the founders, but instead will be used to put back into the business to benefit the members and service users.

The rewards that come with putting two Muslims together for the purpose of completing half their deen will, inshallah, bring barkat to not only the lives of the PI team in the dunya and akirah, but also our members and have a ripple affect across the PI community to all who join and support PI.

PI are committed to offering a premium service which involves meeting with every individual on a video call and inviting those who we feel are strong matches to invite-only in-person events so they can build a connection with those who have the same fundamental values and expectations for marriage.

Our interactive invite-only in-person events includes ice breakers, Quran reflections, competitive games to show personality and 1:1s to help our members get to know each other to establish compatibility.

We've had an incredible sign up rate since launching in June 2024 and already held our first in-person event only 6 weeks later! Whilst the matchmaking we're doing is free, when it comes to creating the in-person event and facilitating a premium experience for our members we realise that this comes at a cost; sourcing and using venues for our events, managing catering, paying for Imams/Scholars to provide Quran reflections, cost for resource during the event such as prizes and activity resources and hiring appropriate support is necessary (especially with our rapid growth!). Additionally, our marketing such as business cards, flyers/posters, etc to spread the word on our service across the UK and worldwide also requires funding too.

Our goal is to bring together like minded individuals for the purpose of marriage so that they can complete half their Deen with Islam and Allah at the centre of it.
