Medical Device and Therapies for Tenzin

heather blersch and Deborah Carp are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Brent Blersch.

On July 1st of this year, my 17-year-old nephew Tenzin's life was irrevocably changed when he collapsed from Aplastic anemia (bone marrow aplasia) in my brother's home. Due to this rare condition, his brain experienced a series of hemorrhages, causing massive trauma. Miraculously, he is still alive!!

To date, Tenzin is fighting to regain blood cells from a count of 0 to 50%. All while experiencing countless brain surgeries and transfusions.

His Mother and Father are working tirelessly to fill in the gaps that the hospital provides for Tenzin, which is life-saving and nothing short of heroic. In my Brother’s graceful words,

"The hospital saved his life; it's (our) job to help him become the man he can be."

I am asking for donations so that my Brother can purchase a medical aid/device and continued therapies that will help Tenzin in his fight to regain cognitive functioning. His left side remains severely traumatized, and he cannot pass a swallow test without risk of aspiration or pneumonia. Tenzin is currently facing a series of procedures; abdominal surgery to change the way he eats, gallbladder surgery to his impacted digestive system and ocular surgery necessary to relieve blood in his left eye.

Tenzin is a fighter!!! An avid swimmer and lifeguard, his dream is to be a Navy Seal. He cares about animals and plays hide-and-seek games with his senior chihuahua. As a big brother, he is loving, playful and kind.
