Supporting Doubletrees School
Doubletrees School is a specialist provision for learners aged between 2 and 19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties - many of whom also have sensory impairments/loss and use wheelchairs. The school is based in St Blazey, however, due to its specialist and unique nature, over 100 learners travel as far afield as Bude, Newquay, Saltash and Truro.
Friends of Doubletrees is a parent-led registered charity (number: 1027045) who are passionate about providing learners with tailored experiences, opportunities, and equipment that the school's budget would otherwise be unable to accommodate. To date, we've proudly funded a range of items from sensory theatre experiences, outdoor play items, and specialist seating equipment, to a school defibrillator. We ensure every learner at Doubletrees benefits from our funding efforts.
Due to the severity of the learner's needs, however, the majority of the equipment and experiences required are highly bespoke and extremely costly. We aim to subside part, or all, of the cost to ensure the learners have equal opportunities. The learners, staff, and trustees would be extremely grateful and appreciative of all donations.
With your donations, we can continue to support the school in enhancing the learner's education and the fun learning environment the school provides.
Thank you for your support.
