Purchase an electric wheelchair which will be life changing
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Tyler and I never thought I'd be turning to crowd funding, but I have exhausted literally every other option. I am trying to raise money for a specialist electric wheelchair, that will not only change my life, but the lives of my children.
Background:
I was always fit and healthy, and had the brightest hopes for the future. In August 2019, I was 23 weeks pregnant with my son and I suffered from a TIA (Transient ischemic attack or mini stroke).
Symptoms are normally shortlived and the patient is able to get back to normal life fairly quickly, although there is an increased risk of more in the future. Unfortunately, my symptoms didn't subside and after 2 years of tests etc. I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Essentially, my brain continuously tells my body that it is having another TIA/stroke and I exhibit the symtpoms, although I am not actually having one.
Affects:
My symptoms are varied and debilitating, from my normal numbness, brain fog and fatigue, to complete paralysis, neuropathic itching and extreme pain.
This illness has robbed me of my future. I had to give up work, give up my degree, and at only 26, I have no idea what my life will look like tomorrow. Some days, I manage okay, and a lot of the time, unless you were to spend an extended amount of time with me, you would have no idea I was ill. But there are days I physically cannot stand, or do anything, basically.
It is isolating, lonely and just awful honestly. My symptoms have gotten a lot worse in the last 5 years, and it greatly affects my mental health as well, as I suffer from depression, anxiety and borderline personality disorder.
Family:
I am a single mom to my two beautiful children. Jaxon is 5 and Luna-Aurora is almost 2. Due to the breakdown of the relationship with their dad, I raise them on my own. My children have never known me to be well, and it absolutely breaks my heart.
My family have massively stepped up, and we are surrounded by such love, I am forever grateful to them. But they have lives and jobs etc. Too and it isn't fair on them how much they have to do for us - although they never complain.
Fundraising:
So now onto the reason I am trying to raise the money. FND is a neurological condition that very little is known about and no two people are affected the same way. There are very few treatment options and either you get better or you don't.
My mobility is a massive hindrance, and it means I have had to cancel so many things and my kids have had to miss out on so many things, because I'm not well.
I did buy a manual wheelchair myself, but due to weakness in my arms, am unable to push myself, so gave me no independence. The NHS won't fund me for an electric wheelchair, as I would not have to use it all the time. I could get one through the motability scheme as I get enhanced rate of PIP, but I use that scheme for my car, and without my car I'd never be able to leave the house. Due to being a single mom, with no financial support from the kids' dad, I am not in a financial position to purchase one out of pocket, due to needing one that goes both inside and outside and is compact, as I live in a small high-rise flat, so there isn't much room.
I understand money is so tight at the moment, for everybody, but if you could spare even a pound to help, it would honestly do more than I can ever express for my children and myself.
