Atlantic Coast Diving Jax is a youth and adult springboard and platform club diving program in Jacksonville, Fl. In 2014, the University of North Florida closed their aquatics facility, forcing our program to find other facilities in which to practice.
For the past 5 years, we have been sharing pool space at three facilities here in Jacksonville - The Bolles School, Eagle Landing (Orange Park), and Cecil Field. We also travel on the weekends to various other facilities outside of Jacksonville - Florida State University's Morcom Aquatic Center, University of Florida's O'Connell Center, Gainesville's Northeast and Westside pools, and Moss Farms Aquatic Center in Moultrie, Ga. - to get additional 3 Meter training as the only facility in Jacksonville (Orange Park) with a 3 Meter board is Eagle Landing. Eagle Landing is a residential community and we share the board time with the community.
ACD Jax has the opportunity to purchased and install a 1 Meter diving board and stand at a City of Jacksonville pool that would allow us to train year round on 1 meter at an ACD dedicated facility. This opportunity will allow our program to offer more practice times to all of our groups including Learn to Dive, Future Champions Tier 1 & Tier 2, Junior Olympic Silver & Gold, Seniors, and Master's Divers!
Funds will cover the cost of the board, stand, and a portion of the installation. Our goal is to have the board and stand installed and ready for use as soon as possible so that we may lighten the load on our current facilities as well as open up more spots on our team for new divers to join. We appreciate any amount of donations to help us achieve our goal as fast as we can!
