My name is Krisann and I am starting this GoFundMe for my friend Stephanie, who is a working mom with four children, the youngest of whom, Trae, is autistic and sometimes "elopes," which means that he leaves the house... sometimes even during the middle of the night.

Because of this, Stephanie and her husband Andy have always taken turns staying alert during the night so their sweet boy did not leave the house. All of this changed during March of this year when Andy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Now, Stephanie is his full-time caregiver and is also still doing all of the things she does as a mom, including staying alert during the wee hours to ensure that Trae doesn't leave the house.

There is a product that would solve this problem - it's a bed specially designed for autistic children who elope so that they can sleep safely and their parents can sleep soundly. It's called a Cubby bed, and it's about $16,000. Stephanie is currently fighting with her insurance company to approve the purchase of this bed to no avail, so I am asking you to donate now.
