Purchase a car for work

Hi, my name is David and I am fundraising to help buy a car.

My truck was recently stolen and totaled. I recently got a new job that I waited over a year to get placed, to better my carrier and hopefully life financially. Transitioning from my old job that I was suffering financially with I went about over month in a half without income. I finally started my new job but have to wait a few weeks until I get paid, in which the first few pay checks need to go to late bills I have not been able to afford. Last week, on Wednesday (my second week of work) I returned from the job site to the parking lot with my truck gone. I called the police and waited for two hours with no show. I was told later I needed to be in person to submit a report. Unfortunately with this new job I cannot take any time off work and we work 10 hour days. I had to wait until Friday (our off day) to report it. On Friday, I went to the police department to report my truck stolen. I was told it was in fact towed, and my tags were two weeks late. (Because I could not yet pay for it) I then had barrow some money, to go to DMV and my $400 registration to go back to the tow yard to be able to get my truck. When I finally returned on Friday after trying to get everything done, at 3 PM they were closed. I then had to get another ride back to the police station the next morning Saturday, in hopes to finally get my truck. Because it had been in the tow yard for a few days it was going to be over $1000 (that I have had to borrow). When I arrived on Saturday morning. I was then told it was towed from a different street that I was in fact even parked near. It was

then I realized that my truck was in fact stolen. The police department informed me there was some dents in the front and I wanted to check before I attempted to purchase it out from the tow yard. When I walked into the tow yard to see my truck I unfortunately saw the image above, it was totaled. It had been stolen from the parking area while I was working, wrecked, and left. Due to not being fully financially stable my insurance was the lowest coverage possible. I have a perfect driving record and was confident that I would never have to use it. (My mistake) I’m asking to raise money to hopefully be able to purchase a car. I currently have no money, I’m behind on bills, and I don’t get my first paycheck for another week. I am hoping with the help of others to purchase a reliable and safe car and I truly need this to get to and from work the most. This new job is so important to me that if I am unable to get to work I will lose the position. Thank you all for taking the time to read.
