If there’s one secret ingredient to so many people’s success in our community, it very well might be that one person we all know, who can absolutely be relied upon to be picking up the slack, waiting in the wings, elevating the entire operation, whatever it may be, and doing whatever it takes to ensure the success, safety, and good time of everyone involved. That person is Pup, also known as Sam, also known as DJ Modest Pup. A pup of all trades with their capable paws in so many of the best parts of life in both the Bay and LA, from nightlife and Leather, to indie film and adult entertainment, Pup is everywhere we want to be, consistently finding ways to support and enrich everything they touch.

From their early days working on the #NoProp60 campaign, while managing a thriving model house and supporting a dynamic roster of emerging stars way back in 2016, to their foundational work in the Leather and BDSM community, organizing projects for Dyke Day LA, and helping to create spaces where everyone can feel safe to explore and feel seen, Pup has been working tirelessly to support the joy and prosperity of so many of us.

Pup has recently stepped into a role as an Associate Producer at the Pig Machine production company, where they wear a million hats and bottom line countless award-winning productions as a production manager, talent liaison, and occasional photographer, camera operator, best boy, and (AVN Nominated) art director.

Pup’s contributions to our community’s success and happiness cannot be overstated. They are one of the most generous, kind, compassionate, and truly fun people many of us have ever had the pleasure of knowing and loving.

Pup has shown up for so many of us so many times, and now we have the honor of showing up for them.

For Pup’s birthday this year, they have decided to pursue gender-affirming top surgery, which will require substantial expenses ($15k+ yikes!) and time off from work.

Now is the time for us to show Pup how much they mean to all of us by contributing whatever is possible and sharing this fundraiser within your circles and with your most generous benefactors ;)
