Puppycuts Dog Grooming Fund

Donation protected
I'm finally breaking free of the "booth rent" I've been paying in the current grooming shop and opening my own, high end grooming Spa in Arroyo Grande! I have the lease signed, the build out started and the rent paid, however I have been denied for almost every loan I applied for. SBA, Personal, online lenders, and American Express have all denied me because my credit history is "too new". I DO have 6000 worth of equipment being shipped to me on a financing plan, so I have not given up hope! Ambitiously I hope to be up and running by September 1st!

About the Business:
When PuppyCuts opens, it will be a far different kind of Salon than any in the area. We will be AKC Safety Certified, which means my salon design has taken into account every aspect of safety for the dogs, owners and employees in my shop. We will NEVER use cage dryers which means your pet will not be at risk of getting too cold or too hot while being left unattended in a noisy, windy box. We schedule dogs hourly so that we can give each dog the individualized attention they need and deserve. This means that instead of 15-20 dogs coming through like you see in other shops that we will be grooming 8-12 a day to the absolute highest standard we possibly can.

About Me:
3 years ago my son was born and adopted by the Anderson family because as a single woman and very small sole proprietor I could not afford to give him the stable, caring home life that he deserves. This event kicked me into high gear and really made me focus on business growth and improvement with the end goal of finally being personally secure.  Luke's parents and I talk all the time and they have been one of my strongest supporters as I struggle to get PuppyCuts up and off the ground.

I have been grooming for 8 years now in the same location in Nipomo, CA. Over the last 3 years my business has grown exponentially and has allowed me to hire an employee at $15 an hour and train her from the ground up, take a week off to continue my education at various Grooming Seminars each year, and even help some of our local non profits and shelters with fundraising and animal care.   This job is my passion, and I cant imagine doing anything else.

Where is the Money Going?

All money raised will go towards building out and purchasing equipment. I have $4500 worth of dryers and appliances (Air conditioner, tankless water heater, new lighting) still waiting for me to pay for them, floors that need to be prepped and painted with safe, nonslip cement paint, electrical wiring brought up to code, and plumbing fixtures installed. I have lots of small purchasing to do as well to complete my grooming setup, but I'm hoping that you have more faith in my business than the banks and lenders do.

BONUS FOR CLIENTS NEW AND FOLLOWING ME:
