Hi, my name is Isaac and recently my girlfriend Grace and I have gotten 2 new 4 month old puppies, Dusty (Merle) and Scout (White). We found out in the last few days that they each have contracted a virus called Parvo that is deadly if untreated. It’s a virus that attacks their white blood cells and dehydrates them and the only way to help is if they are in intensive care 24/7 at a veterinary clinic. The success rate of the care needed is 90% and we’re hoping we can give them a few more days to get there. The thing with this virus is each puppy needs time to fight it off, and the only way they can be stable enough to do so is being at the vet under intense care. We have both puppies in the intensive care unit as we speak at an emergency vet near us for 3 days, but a full recovery usually takes 5-7 days. Both puppies were supposed to get their vaccines this week as they had just turned old enough, but they got this virus before that was possible. We’re just not able to provide both puppies with more days to fight this virus beyond what we can afford, and so anything would help to give these little guys another chance. Anything helps at all, thank you. ❤️
