Puppies Sisters Fighting with Parvovirus
Donation protected
Please meet the 15 weeks old Pit-Bull sisters, Sole and Kiwi. The puppies were tested positive for Parvo and are fighting for their life. On Tuesday Sole was brought home and she seemed a little bit more calm for a puppy but with the change of the environment we didn’t think of anything serious. The next morning Sole started throwing up, having a diarrhea and her appetite started going away. We took her to the vet who didn’t even suggest getting her tested for parvo. He only gave her antibiotics and told us to change her diet to chicken and rice. Her condition just went down the hill from that moment. She started throwing and having a diarrhea more frequently and her appetite went away completely. We decided to get her back to the vet which he AGAIN didn’t mention anything about parvo testing. Knowing her age and sumptuous he just waisted our time and money. On Saturday night her condition got even worse and in the morning she started having a diarrhea with blood and throwing up after drinking water. We decided to take her to the ER. Unfortunately she tested positive for Parvovirus.
Parvovirus is a highly infectious disease that can be fatal. The virus attacks cells in a dog's intestines and stops them from being able to absorb vital nutrients.
After find out that Sole was tasted positive. We contacted the “breeder”asking about the stage of the other puppies. He totally ignored the questions and stopped picking up the phone. His behavior made us worry even more and we decided to go to Michigan 2.5h away to see if any of the other puppies are still a live. We were able to find 2 puppies. One was in a horrible condition, not able to even keep her head up. The other one Kiwi was in much better condition but not the greatest either. Unfortunately one of them didn’t make it to Chicago ),: She was cremated at the BluePearl Pet Hospital in Skoki.
Both of the puppies are in a stable condition but have a long way to go. Sole is staying at the BluePearl in the Skoki location and Kiwi is at the Northfield location. They are both strong puppies but they need medical help.
The amount payed so far is $9,000 and this is just for their hospitality for 2 nights. After talking with the vets, they said that the girls may have to stay for 6+ days and the coast of the treatment will be around $20,000.
I am asking for any help that anyone can offer to help the girls fight with this horrible virus.
Any leftover money will be donated to the PAWS Chicago.
