My name is Lore' Haley. I live in a small North Carolina town with my dog, Pup Pup, and my cat, Buttermilk. Pup Pup is a small dog around 10 pounds. He is a fun and full of energy Jack Russell Mix.
Yesterday morning, Pup Pup and I were outside our apartment. The neighbor had new dog, a Pit-bull. We were chatting as the dogs were getting to know each other. I slowly let Pup Pup get closer to the other dog. I directed my attention to something else for just a second and the Pit-bull had my sweet little Pup Pup by the throat. Pup Pup was screaming in pain and fear. I jumped on top of the Pitbull and forced her to the ground as I tried to pull her mouth open so she would let go of my baby. The owner stood there just watching. A neighbor came out of his apartment to see what was happening. I yelled, "HELP ME GET HER MOUTH OPEN". As the neighbor ran to our rescue, the pit-bull released my sweet baby and Pup Pup ran away and back into our apartment. I jumped off the Pit-bull and ran into my apartment to get Pup Pup. He was covered in blood and had a gaping hole in his neck and shoulder. I grabbed him and my keys and ran with him to the car. I got to the veterinarian hospital in record time.
The veterinarian told me his juggler vein had been ripped in two and he was losing a lot of blood. The veterinarian sutured the vein and cleaned the wounds. Pup Pup was so scared and in a great deal of pain. I needed to pay a deposit so they could continue his care. My credit cards are maxed out and I don't get paid from my job again for another 10 days. The veterinarian told me that she would keep him overnight to watch over him. I had to pick him up from the veterinarian's hospital this afternoon. He has a large bandage around his neck and gauze over the shoulder wound. He really needs surgery but I can not pay for it.
I need your help to get Pup Pup's surgery as soon as possible. I have to take him back to the veterinarian on Friday for them to check his wounds. I wish I could tell them to do the surgery that day. With your help I can get his surgery done quicker. I hate to see him in such pain. He has been sleeping most of the time on the couch with his head in my lap.
This little dog has been a lifesaver to me. I was very depressed and was planning to end my life. I went through a difficult divorce but he was always there with a wagging tail and lots of love to give. I want to repay him for all that he has done for me. I want him to be whole again, to be happy and enjoy his life with Buttermilk and I. Pup Pup is my family now and I love him very much.
I will be eternally thankful for any help you can give to get my little sweet baby back to his normal life. He really needs the surgery to make him whole again. I continue to pray for his complete recovery and any help we can get from you so he can be happy and run freely once again. Can you please help Pup Pup get his surgery?
