Pumps for Mpwapwa, Tanzania
At St Mary’s we’ve been raising money to provide a water pump for a village in Tanzania we are linked with. This will save 150 families from drought and famine.
We set out to raise half the money. In fact, through the generosity of our village we’re over three quarters of the way there. We’re now so close to being able to make this project happen - as a gift from our village to their village, and we would love to do that before the end of this year. Can you help us to get over the line?
We’ve been hearing a lot about COP26 and the climate emergency we face. And it’s often those who are least responsible who feel the effects of climate change the most. It can feel like such a big problem and we wonder how we can make a difference. Well, now we can.
We can’t build three quarters of a pump, so your donation through crowdfunding – big or small – could make a real difference to that village, providing them with irrigation and giving them food security for years to come.
Let’s do this, together, today.
Thank you for helping us to help them.
