Pumpkin came into my life the way the best things do: unexpectedly, and all at once. A tiny calico obsessed with cardboard boxes and completely convinced that 3 a.m. is a perfectly reasonable time for breakfast. In the short time we have had together, Pumpkin has become family, and my bestfriend. That is why a routine vet visit turning into the hardest conversation I have ever had about my kitten has been so heartbreaking, we’ve bonded so much since the day we got her.

Last visit Pumpkin was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia Virus, or FeLV, a serious lifelong condition that weakens a cat’s immune system and means ongoing veterinary care, close monitoring, and treatment will be part of life going forward. (Feline Chemotherapy) 

I am committed to giving Pumpkin every chance at a long, comfortable, and joyful life. I am asking for help covering the cost of Pumpkin’s medical care, including diagnostics, regular bloodwork, specialist visits, medication, treatment plans, and support for any secondary infections that may come with a compromised immune system. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward Pumpkin’s vet bills and ongoing care to help keep Pumpkin as healthy and comfortable as possible.
