Hello, my name is Shanice, and I have a Corgi named Pumpkin. After going through one of the hardest times in my life and leaving behind a very painful relationship, everything feels a bit chaotic right now. My mental health is at a very low point, and Pumpkin is truly the only light I have left.

At the moment, I am still living on unemployment benefits (ALG 1), but I am doing everything I can to get back into work soon. Sadly, Pumpkin recently fractured a tooth, and it is a serious case. We now have to see a dental specialist, and he will most likely need a root canal. The appointment is scheduled for next Monday, and then I will know the exact cost. From what I’ve read, the bill will likely be between €1,000 and €2,000—an amount I simply cannot afford.

I know that it is my own responsibility to be able to provide for a pet, and life hasn’t turned out the way I hoped it would. But Pumpkin gives me the strength to keep fighting, and all I want is to give him the future he deserves, together with me.

I would be endlessly grateful for any support, no matter how small, to help make this surgery possible for Pumpkin—so that his tooth doesn’t have to be removed. Losing it would affect one of his molars, which would sadly reduce his quality of life.
