Pulp Slam goes to NPS 2018

Pulp Slam is sending a team to the National Poetry Slam for the very first year in 2018. This August, we're traveling to Chicago for a week of competitive poetry. We need to buy plane tickets and pay for a hotel room.
The team consists of Amina Jordan-Mendez, Catherine Weiss, Jelal Huyler, K! Dymek, and Cecily Schuler.
The five of us are working really hard to get ready to share our words on the national stage. Picture a montage of us running up stadium stairs--like the intensity and dedication of Rocky--but whatever the poetry version is. Eye of the Tiger is playing. I'm sweating profusely. (The library doesn't have air conditioning.) Jelal is yelling at me about breaking my cadence. IT'S ALL VERY INTENSE.
