Hello! My name is Kimberly Iasielo. My team, @pulmonary_paddlers are raising funds to participate in the Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis in June of 2024. @Crossingforcf

What is the crossing you ask? It's a fundraiser created by the Piper's Angels organization where participants paddle 80 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from Bimini Bahamas to Lake Beach Florida to raise funds and bring awareness to the CF community. @Pipersangels

the Why: This fundraiser is important to me because I'm a 44 year-old woman who has been living with Cystic Fibrosis since birth. Back in 1979, the CF community did not have the support and medical advancements it has in 2024. To raise funds to be able to provide financial support to families and individuals with Cystic Fibrosis to gain access to medicine, treatments, and hospital stays is incredibly important. I only wish my parents had access to foundations like Piper's Angels 44 years ago to relieve the burden of medical costs and days missed at work to support a sick child.

By participating in the Crossing I hope to inspire others with CF to push yourself, break your barriers and reach for what could appear impossible. You have CF, but CF doesn't have you. This is why we paddle! (link) and Follow our journey here: @pulmonary_paddlers

the Team is starting the donation page to help provide financial support for our paddling journey. Your contributions will allow us to bring the support boat from Chicago to Florida; fuel and obtain lodging, equipment and the training to participate in the Crossing safely and efficiently.
