Pull-ups attempt to help Andrew Lee battle cancer

My name is Andres Cubides and I am a dedicated endurance athlete who is supporting Andrew Lee, a  sixth year student battling liver cancer.

On the 28th of January, I will be supporting Andrew by completing 4200 pull-ups in less than 24 hours.

My goal is to raise $10,000 for Andrew and his family who have had to quit their jobs to take care of him. Every cent raised will go towards financially supporting Andrew and his family.

The endurance shown by Andrew and his family thus far on the journey to conquer his illness is unparalleled. However, through supporting Andrew and his family I hope they can draw strength, and inspiration that endurance tests can be overcome and completed.

ABOUT ANDREW

Andrew Lee, a year six student at Port Melbourne Primary School, was recently diagnosed with liver cancer.

Andrew is currently undergoing treatment. He has a loving family with his mum looking after him full time, his older brother in high school and his dad who works long hours as a carpenter.

Andrew had surgery to remove the tumour in November 2022. Soon after that, he underwent two further operations to correct some issues since the initial surgery.

He is currently undergoing a number of rounds of chemotherapy to ensure he remains cancer free. His mum has since had to resign from her job as Andrew's chemo will take a further 6 months.

Any funds raised will help assist his family with the loss of income, transport to and from the hospital, meals and other out-of-pocket expenses.
