Pulling The Goalie

Donation protected

She’s an honor roll student. She’s a team player. She’s very coachable. Here is what one of her coaches had to say.... Quiet, polite, kind, respectful, grateful, and kick ass! When a friend first told me about her, I just had to meet her. I had a feeling this was the type of person and athlete I wanted to work with. Weeks later, I threw her to the wolves at a hockey camp with college players, and prospects. She was so quiet that I could have completely forgotten about her. But there she was, getting better and stronger every day, competing, battling, and making sure she made an impression and left a statement. She’s a goalie who isn’t going away… Please help if you can. It’s complicated. But all can be verified in the newspapers.

Prior to Covid my place of employment was severely challenged due to an 11 month renovation that took place while we attempted to stay open. The owners of the shopping center had plans to tear the shopping center down and asked us to look for another place even though we had signed a 5 year lease prior to the new owners purchasing the property. The city then turned down their new plans due to parking. So as tenants, we were allowed to stay at our location. Then Covid hit 2 months later. We all know what the pandemic did to many businesses. We continued to try an stay in business through these uncertain and difficult times. During this time, I have unfortunately become very sick and it is even more difficult to keep the business going.
Meanwhile one of our children is away at a preparatory school in Canada. At this moment it’s embarrassing to say but I’m struggling at work. My best days are few and far between. I am ill but hope to get better. My daughter is presently still with her school however her days are numbered if I do not receive any financial help. If you can assist, that’s awesome. If you can’t then please at least help others. She’s an honor roll student and an incredible athlete. I’d like to keep her dream alive of playing in college and perhaps on the National team. Those are her goals and as Dad I feel like a failure. I won’t give up though. Any help or ideas are very much appreciated.
