Puke Patches for Willow

Donation protected

Willow Emineth, age 47, wife of Randy and Dog Lady Extraordinaire, is about to kick the bucket. But before she does, she REALLY needs to stop puking in it. Short version: Willow is in hospice, and she's in a lot of pain. Even worse is the unending vomiting and nausea. She is allergic to literally all pain meds. She has tried everything and nothing works to stop the dry heaving and puking except the SanCuso patch, which costs $1500 for a 7-day patch. Medicare won't cover it anymore since she went on hospice. (That's where the GoFundMe comes in.)

A resident of Richland, Wash., Willow has been diagnosed with 13 different autoimmune diseases, including MS. Yes, really. (Google "Downwinders Syndrome" and "Hanford nuclear reactor"- It's a whole thing.) Officially, her diagnosis is heart failure and renal failure. She was put on hospice in the beginning 2021 after she stopped dialysis. Doctors gave her a week or two, but whatever else you say about Willow's body, one thing holds true: it flat-out refuses to cooperate. She just hasn't freakin' died.

Willow is secure in her Christian faith. She has faced all of this with her signature humor (she threatened to start a Dead Pool for folks to guess when she'll actually die), her husband Randy and her dogs at her side. There isn't much that can be done for her now, but the puking? WE CAN STOP THE PUKING! The SanCuso patches, at $1500 a pop, are the difference between Willow spending her final days sleeping, visiting with her family and her chaplain, and easing into Death: The Next Great Adventure before heading off to pick up her beloved dogs at the Rainbow Bridge OR her basically puking nonstop and hallucinating (guess what happens when you don't sleep for a few days?)

Okay, so patches are $1500 each. Why is the GoFundMe asking for $4500? Honestly? Because I don't think Willow will die this week. She hasn't die on anyone's timeline yet, and I don't want her to worry about this again in seven days. Anything over the amount will go to Randy to use for the funeral and for anything else he needs in the dark days of bereavement that are surely ahead. Please give generously.
