On May 2nd, our family suffered the devastating and unexpected loss of a beautiful, young, and energetic soul, Priscilla Aceves, affectionately known as 'Pia'.  She is my cousin, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, granddaughter, and friend; A gorgeous soul who loved her young daughter Maddison 'Maddie' with her entire heart. She was full of generosity and enjoyed being around children and her family. Extremely bright, funny, and quick-witted, you'd be hard-pressed to catch Priscilla without a sassy remark. As cute and friendly as she was, Priscilla knew how to defend herself (Lol)! Her goal was to take care of people and find a career where she could use her talents and gifts to be of service to others.

Sadly, Priscilla struggled with mental health and addiction issues. God called her to her eternal home on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Our family is requesting assistance to lay Priscilla to rest and give her the final peace that she tirelessly searched to find. Priscilla, with the help of her family support system, made many attempts to live a sober life and complete recovery programs, but her disease proved stronger than her efforts. Her memory and energy will be transformed to focus on providing assistance and showing love to others braving the same battles that Priscilla did during her earthly journey. Some people fight these battles in silence due to shame or other feelings, but Martha (Priscilla's mom), hopes that Priscilla's story empowers someone to speak out and seek help from family, friends or professionals. And that it encourages families to surround their loved ones with support during their difficult times.

Priscilla grew up in Paramount and Lynwood then moved to Bellflower and subsequently the Inland Empire.  Although she is now with the angels, our family seeks to provide her remains with a permanent home here on Earth. Anything you can contribute toward Priscilla's services and to help her daughter Maddie, as well as the family (Martha, Lars, Tiffany, Michael, Marina, etc.)  as they recover from this terrible tragedy, would go a long way.  All funds donated will be provided to assist with funeral costs, memorial services, and any other needs. Thank you in advance for any kindness you can share with our family. "Find people who love you unconditionally, surround yourself with them, and bring them the same level of intensity." - Sean Stephenson.
