This fundraiser is to benefit 8 year old Jaedyn Valdez. Jaedyn lost his father, Miguel, tragically on March 12th, 2015.
Miguel Valdez, Jaedyn's father, was working at his family's store in Plainfield, NJ, the afternoon of March 12th when a fight erupted outside. The fight escalated to a gun shots leading to one of the men to run inside the store to seek cover. As bullets began flying into the store, Miguel ran to protect two customers, a pregnant woman and her four year old daughter. As he shielded the little girl, a bullet came through the window and hit Miguel fatally in the heart. The pregnant woman and her four year-old child were saved by Miguel's selflessness and heroism.
Miguel is a hero to his community, to his family, and to the three lives he saved that afternoon. His heroism is an inspiration to us all. This fundraiser is to benefit Jayden, Miguel's 8 year old son, who is now left without his father, his hero.
In Miguel's honor, we are asking for contributions for Jaedyn.
