Help Xavier Regain His Independence with an Accessible Van
Hi, my name is Xavier, and I’m reaching out with deep vulnerability and hope.
Ten months ago, my life changed in an instant. I became paralyzed due to a spinal cord stroke that left me unable to walk, move my legs, or feel much of my body. Since then, I’ve been navigating a new world filled with challenges I never imagined—adjusting to life in a wheelchair, relying on caregivers for daily activities, and managing a complex medical condition that continues to evolve.
Despite everything, I’m determined to move forward—but I can’t do it alone.
One of the greatest barriers I face right now is transportation. I no longer have a safe or accessible way to get to medical appointments, therapy, or even simple errands that most people take for granted. I’m currently dependent on others for every trip outside the house, which limits my independence and delays essential care.
That’s why I’m asking for your help.
I urgently need an accessible van—equipped with a wheelchair ramp and modifications that will allow me to travel safely and with dignity. These vehicles are incredibly expensive, and insurance doesn’t cover the cost. After extensive research and quotes, the estimated total is around $50,000, including modifications and delivery.
Every dollar brings me closer to regaining some freedom and reconnecting with the world outside my four walls.
If you’re able to contribute—whether it’s $5 or $500—or even just share this campaign, you are making a real difference in my life. Your support means mobility, independence, and a step toward healing.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being a part of my journey.
With gratitude,
Xavier
