Hi everyone!
My name is Kelsey and I am fundraising for a family very near and dear to my heart, the Watford Family. After getting home from a road trip their youngest son, Austin, started to get sick– fever, nausea, body aches. He was tested for COVID-19 and it came back negative. He was admitted to the hospital last night and is being monitored for heart complications. The most recent update I have from his mom is that his heart is only functioning at 27% and there is an excess of fluids around it. His heart is not working properly and the stress of this is resulting in possible incubation to alleviate his heart working even harder than it currently is.
Austin is a strong kid, he just celebrated his 13th birthday surrounding by family. He loves to be active– swimming, riding bikes, karate, random handstands; which I can only imagine will result in a love for parkore when he grows up. He is right were he needs to be now, with amazing doctors but his family needs love and support. Both of his parents, Aleena and Chico, are staying by his side and taking time off from work to do everything they can for their little man. Austin has three older siblings, two of which still live at home with Chico and Aleena.

Austin has a long road to recovery but with the support of an amazing community and family I know he will thrive. Your donations will go to support Austin and any medical expenses they have as well as helping to support the family while Chico and Aleena take time off to make sure he gets better. I will also be starting a meal train so it is one less thing that they need to think about.
