Pujari Room Renovation at ISKCON Zurich 


About ten days ago a complete renovation of the pujari room at ISKCON Zurich has started. The project is led by Dina Dayal Prabhu from Estonia and executed by him with the help of other temple devotees.





The pujari room is the place where all the deity paraphernalia is kept and where the priests prepare the items for worship. This area of the temple is most sacred since the Lord's worship paraphernalia and the Lord Himself are considered non-different. That's also the reason that this area should be kept very neat and clean. In order to facilitate such an environment of sattva guna, the present renovation was started.

So far a temporary pujari room was created and the old floor of the pujari room removed. A complete cleanup of the jewelry and other paraphernalia is also taking place, and the wall behind the altar was newly painted.  



Further renovation in the Pujari Room involves:


-installing a waterproof vinyl floor with underfloor heating system

-installing the decorative wall and ceiling panels

-installing additional electrical cables, sockets, switches

-installing a brand new stainless steel main sink, stainless steel small sink, main working table, dust free shelves for arati plates and puja paraphernalia

-installing additional LED lighting 

-fixing and painting the lift tower from inside

-upgrading the bhoga lifting system for easier operation

-installing new dust proof drawers for deity decorations
