Hello my name is Zach and my wife Tanisha and I are desperately trying anything we can to raise the funds for our dog-ters TPLO surgery. After we had arrived home in the evening my wife noticed she was limping on her walk. We crate rested her for the night and woke up early to see if she would still be limping in the morning. When she was we immediately took her to emergency at our regular vet who did x-rays and actually diagnosed Puhzzle with Bi-lateral hip dysplasia and told us she would need hip surgery. We started some pain management and got a referal to an Orthopedic vet near us to start discussing options. During our consultation with our surgeon he mentioned feeling a little concerned about one of her x-rays and the consultation quickly turned into an exam. He explained to us that yes Puhzzle has Bi-lateral hip dysplasia, but as she's 4 and has had no issues running, jumping, or being a dog that he suspected her hips aren't her current issue. He did an exam on her legs and found she has a partially torn ACL that will require surgery to fix, luckily he mentioned that once they get the TPLO surgery they do not need another on that particular knee and she'll gain 98-99% functionality but the other ACL is high risk for injury within 6-12 months because this injury is genetic, being a structural flaw of how her liagaments rub on the bone while moving. My wife and I are saving everything we can and have her surgery currently scheduled for November 20th, because she needs the surgery sooner than later, to avoid further injuring herself, and any donation towards her surgery would mean so much to us.
