Puerto Rico Hurricane Fiona Disaster Relief
Donation protected
Good Afternoon,
My name is Jeremiah Cedeño, co-founder of City Workers for Justice. At the time of writing this, Hurricane Fiona has been categorized a level 1 hurricane with winds reaching 80 miles per hour.
We’ve reached out to several contacts on the island to get a full list of what’ll be needed once the storm passes. Community response is critical as we support our beloved island.
Together with our friends at the International Museum of Salsa, we’ll be raising funds and delivering these resources to the island. Please keep in mind this storm arrives on the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Maria, a storm that ravaged the island, took over 4,000 lives, and resulted in the displacement of countless natives. Funds will go to assist the work of Stephanie Rodríguez, an agriculturist who feeds many families in Puerto Rico via her farm!
We will continue to post updates as we get them.
Thank you!!
